How do I stop deleting a word when I type in front of it (Microsoft Word)

1. Click the File Tab (or Microsoft Office Button), and then click Options at the bottom.
2. In the left pane, click Advanced.
3. Under Editing options, select or clear the Use overtype mode check box.
